9 weeks

How far along? 9 weeks

Baby is the size of a:  olive

Total weight gain/loss:  unknown

Maternity clothes?  nope

Sleep: Still having a hard time getting comfortable at night and waking up, having a hard time getting back to sleep.  Also for naps I never do more than doze a little, I keep having to get to pee!

Best moment this week:  I finally got ahold of my doula I used last time!  She has moved (closer to me) and took some time off but she is starting up again and is happy to be to my doula again!  This is so great.  I really feel comfortable with her and I’m excited she will be my doula again.  She is also putting out some feelers for me on possible OBs/midwives. 

Movement:  No

Food cravings/aversions:   I still like yogurt, started liking granny smith apples somewhat (liked them while pregnant with Matthew), root beer.  I am averse to leftovers, heating stuff up is gross, also vegetables, but that is nothing new.

Belly Button in or out? In

What I miss:  Feeling not yucky, I hate how a lot of times I just don’t have energy to do much more than sit around.  Weather is crappy and cold so I am not getting my daily walk outside with Matthew either.

What I am looking forward to:  Ultrasound on the 14th!  I can’t wait to see baby.  Then I will tell the world, which will be so much fun.  I am also started to delve into planning my birth, picking out a provider and place to deliver (I need my husband’s company to give us the darn insurance information that has changed for this year!) which is kind of fun yet a little stressful to start making those decisions.

Weekly Wisdom:  Eating junk food is better than eating no food at all, right?

Milestones:  Had sex with my husband and did not spot afterwards!  However it made me feel achy/crampy and I have managed to convince myself this is just a normal thing and did not call RE’s office in a panic.

Symptoms:  I had about 3 days where my morning sickness eased quite a bit.  It was more like my pregnancy with Matthew.  It was great on one hand but worried me on the other.  Since then I’ve had a few days where I have felt more sick, but still maybe not as much as I was before.  I still get to feel bad after I eat most of the time. I am still tired and I just don’t have much energy, I get tired out so easily.

I actually think that olives are pretty icky and I didn’t really want to even touch one!
