Father’s Day

I gave him a card telling him that I always knew he’d be a good dad, but I never knew until Matthew was born what a great dad he would be.  And that I loved seeing how much he loved his son.

He smiled at  the card and pulled me in for a hug.  He patted my stomach and told me “Thank you for giving me Matthew.”

  3. I was able to read you newest post “Sad” in my reader but it won’t open it to comment. So, here I shall comment.

Being a mom is the toughest job there is . I bet you are doing a far better job than you think you are. Mistakes happen…a lot of them, even to women who believe they have a ton of experience with babies. Just do what you think is best at the moment and deal with the next moment as it happens. Matthew will be just fine. He is lucky to have a mom who loves him so much that it makes her doubt herself. It means you are paying attention. And, for paying attention in what is sure to be a sleep deprived state, you deserve a treat.

Cut yourself some slack. Ask hubby to relieve you for a couple hours for a nap or quiet walk. You deserve it and it is sure to help.
