I got the call

I am so stinking excited.  Dec. 17 at 11:30 a.m.  Finally, it is scheduled!  And the icing on the cake… I do not need a full bladder!  Seriously, that is awesome.  They will give us pics or a CD with pics (depends on which machine we get, I’m hoping for a disk).  I asked if my hubby could take video with our digital camera and she said “I don’t see why not.”  Sweet!  I know some places are funny about that because of liability reasons.

We’ll also have a doctor review our ultrasound and tell us right then if everything looks normal.  And!  So long as baby cooperates, they will be able to tell us the gender.  The receptionsist said the techs are very good at being able to tell.

The clinic is actually located right by the L&D unit at the hospital I’ll be delivering at.  So hopefully we can catch a glimpse of what it looks like there as well.

I’ll be eating a smidge of something before I go in so that baby isn’t too sleepy.  Any suggestions?  Maybe some orange juice and something else for breakfast?  Then after the ultrasound, hubby and I can go out for lunch to celebrate.  I love going to eat with him after appointments when we can because we get to have nice chats about the baby.  Then I will probably make about a zillion phone calls.

I can’t wait!   Birthday in 5 days, ultrasound in 12 days and Christmas in 20 days.  Doesn’t get much better than that.

  1. if you do orange juice at breakfast time your baby will probably be sleeping by 11:30am because the sugar rush will be over…try just a little glass of OJ about 30min prior to the appointment. Good luck!!
